There is always a good reason as to why organizations have fundraisers.  What better reason than your children?

From items as simple as school supplies on the desk of every student at Adams for their first day of school, to purchasing document viewers for each classroom, your Adams PTSA strives to bring only the best to the students, staff, and parents of Adams Elementary.  That’s where the fundraisers we hold every year come in to play. 

Below is a breakdown of the various ways your Adams PTSA raises money.  It can be as simple as clipping Boxtops on a box of cereal, or purchasing a Adams Apparel.  We all come out winners in the end!

 

 DID YOU KNOW?

That it takes funding to support many programs and activities here at Adams Elementary.  Your PTSA promotes fundraisers throughout the year in order to bridge the gap that is left from state budget shortfalls in education funding.  Many people don’t realize that resources like Accelerated Reader, Math is Cool, Scholastic Weekly Readers, and much more, is actually funded by Adams PTSA.  You may wonder why it is necessary for your PTSA to cover these costs.  If we didn’t our students probably wouldn’t have these resources.  Washington State funds very little when it comes to the operating costs  of education.  Building renovations and/or replacements are funded by bond dollars, many educator salaries and curriculum costs are covered by levy dollars.  What is not covered there is often absorbed by parent groups. 

 

Your support of annual fundraisers is vital in order for Adams’ students to continue receiving many of the programs and activities they currently participate in.

 

This year our fundraising campaign was able to reach it's target.  We thank you for supporting this annual event.  Wih the current instability of our economy, it's becoming increasingly difficult to meet goals.  Our families are so supportive and we want you to know how much we appreciate it!

 

 

 

 

Community Partners

 

 There are various organizations that your Adams PTSA partners with.  It is these partnerships that provide many of the programs, activities, and information necessary to make your Adams PTSA and Adams Elementary so successful. 

 

 

 

Office Depot truly does “Take care of Business!”  They offer 5% back to schools on qualifying purchases.  It’s as easy as visiting your local Office Depot and to sign up.  Just let them know your Adams ID# - 70108000.  They do the rest!  Thank you Office Depot!

 

 

Yoke’s Fresh Market Foods is a VITAL supporter of the activities provided by your PTSA every year.  Harold, Mel, and the rest of the people over at Yoke’s are always available and willing to step in and help out when needed.  Whether it’s cookies for a gathering in the Eagle’s Nest, a shopping cart full of pies/cakes for our annual carnival, or even delicious pizzas for our Watch D.O.G.S. pizza night; Yoke’s is there!

Yes...Staples makes it very easy for Adams PTSA to provide all the students’ back to school supplies at a very reasonable price!  Every year we ask if they will honor advertised pricing in bulk and they have stepped up to the plate each time and accommodated our requests.  It’s partnerships like this that allow our students to benefit!

 

 

 

Box Tops for Education 

 

It takes so little effort, but can make such a big difference...Boxtops for Education has been a very successful fundraising program, not just for Adams Elementary, but for schools all across the nation.  Encourage your family and friends to clip Boxtops from participating products.  Please take a look at their web site; and visit often...they often have promotional offers that enable Adams to receive bonus Boxtops!   Take a few minutes and shop the Marketplace; where you can link to many online retailers who offer free shipping!  By linking that way, a percentage of your purchase directly benefits Adams Elementary.

 

 

eScrip

 

eScrip is proven to be a fantastic resource for fundraising where participating business partners contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to the school, group or organization of your choice. Visit our family of merchants for a complete list of participants in the program.  When you register your Safeway Club Card, or your Yoke's eScrip card and shop at these stores, a portion of your purchase is donated back to Adams!  You can even register your credit/debit card on the eScrip website, so when you use it your purchases benefit Adams as well.

 

 

Target's "Take Charge of Education

 

Education is a cornerstone of our communities. That's why Target proudly supports schools with innovative giving programs, volunteering efforts and partnerships with educational organizations. Explore how Target encourages a love of learning in classrooms and beyond.  When you use your Target 'Red' card at retailers, a portion of your purchases comes back to Adams Elementary!

 

Pizza Nights

 

Everyone deserves a night out without dishes!  By supporting pizza nights you get a break from cleaning up the kitchen, your support Adams Elementary AND you enjoy quality family time!  There are usually 3 nights planned each year.  Be sure to watch your child's Friday folder for flyers!

 

 

Leo's Family Portrait Nights

 

When you schedule a family portrait session in the fall with your PTSA, Leo's Photography donates the sitting fee back to the school.  You get quality photographs and your school wins!  Thanks for supporting this event!
